About Dr. Nader

Dr. Rami Nader is a Registered Psychologist in the Province of British Columbia (Registration #1683) and certified in cognitive-behavioural therapy by the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies. He received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of British Columbia, after completing a pre-doctoral internship (with a primary rotation in the Anxiety Disorders Clinic) at the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority in 2005. He was director at the North Shore Stress and Anxiety Clinic in North Vancouver between 2012 and 2023 and has been working as a psychologist in private practice since 2005, specializing in diagnosis, assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders (specifically, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Specific Phobias), depression, chronic pain management and stress management. He has conducted hundreds of independent medical examination (IME) assessments for the purposes of civil and criminal litigation, WorkSafeBC and WCAT appeals, arbitration hearings and family law proceedings. In addition to his private practice, he is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia, teaching and training clinical psychology graduate students. He has been qualified as an expert witness in psychology in British Columbia Supreme Court and RCMP Code of Conduct hearings. He has published research articles in scholarly journals and given presentations at national and international scientific and professional conferences in the areas of forensic psychology, pain and substance abuse.
